Gearing up. Uniting Our Voices
Welcome to the CR10 Blog. This is an online space meant to begin to bring together everything that we are doing/making to end the prison industrial complex. This blog is a tool to both rally support and excitement around CR10 as well as to showcase the immensity and depth of our struggles against the prison industrial complex. If you are in any way involved, allied, or associated with CR10 or Critical Resistance's broader communities, we want your articles, press releases, essays, artwork, photos from protests, poetry, stories and everything in between. - This fall, marking ten years of visionary grassroots struggle to abolish the prison industrial complex, Critical Resistance will host the CR10 gathering to celebrate and build upon this decade of strategy and social change. We invite former prisoners, their loved ones, youth, journalists, organizers and anyone else interested in eliminating the disastrous effects that policing, surveillance and imprisonment have on our lives. In a free weekend of strategy, struggle and celebration, we will assess our movement’s achievements and determine how we will continue to gain ground in the years to come. CR10 is a landmark in the massive mobilization to tear down the structures and systems that cage our loved ones and terrorize our communities. CR10 is the next step towards building the healthy, meaningful and accountable communities that will bring us REAL safety and security. Engaging in an organizing project as large and complex as the CR10 gathering will require many volunteers! The project is almost entirely volunteer run, so we need as many people as possible to support the project
